rebooting when trying to install maps

i received my City Navigator NT card today for my Kenwood G620t Navigation unit (purchased from garmin website)

When i insert the card and power the unit on it starts to load and then very quickly a user agreement screen appears with a big loading hour glass and a accept and deny button but then the unit restarts this repeats over and over.

I wondered is there any way to install the map files by USB instead of using the SDCard?
