hi all
i want a second small inexpensive satnav for use in spain and as a backup to my xl IQ routes europe.
will the tomtom ONE start w europe selling here on amazon be able to:
1. save my customers as a poi category
2. be compatible with the camera database on this site.
they also do a ONE with a 2 in the description but i seem to recall being warned off of this one?

does anyone know what the difference is between these 2 units and also whether i can install the pocketgpsw database and my own poi category on to both of these devices?

I hadn't answered because my info might be out of date.

Basically the Start is about the simplest TomTom ever made, so many features will have been left off.
When they were first launched, the Start and the Start2 could NOT use custom POIs at all.
But that MAY have been corrected in a later software update, I don't recall.
If it happened, then I suspect it would have got reported here, maybe try a forum search for it.

There are SOME comparison details in the chart downloadable from TTForums.com here, but a} it was compiled in the states, where the Start wasn't available and b} the people who were most likely to help create the chart would tend to avoid the very basic models, so it's a bit sketchy on some details.
