Patience is a virtue Wink

We're looking into it.

It will be implemented in the next version. I am just waiting for a little more dust to settle (and to return from travelling) before making the next release.

What is 'also run the following application'

It is intended to launch an app of your choice, a navigation app for most users.

Because when I use that feature and select Sygic Aura nothing else happens.

We are using a feature of Android, if it doesn't launch Sygic then that is a bug, whether it is a bug in Sygic or Android I can't say. It's not possible for us to test every possible app but the app logs may throw some light on it.

Do you have any other navigation apps installed? Can you test it with any other app to confirm that the feature itself is working?

I have Sygic Aura and the option works fine.

It's an approved feature permitted in the Android SDK. It could have been caused by any number of unconnected issues?

I use use BackUp Pro on my andriod. But had not backed up since installing Sygic or CamerAlert. Now I have everything working, I have backed up so may try it again when I have time to have a play around.

My Beta version of CamerAlert has never been notified to me as being available to update and now today, after I power re-set my Galaxy S, the app completely dissapeared from my phone.
So I have gone into the Market and paid my 59p, the app starts downloading but then I get a red triangle warning with attached "Installation Error - Incompatible Update".
Help please, where am I going wrong?

sounds like the beta version is still installed. if you go to phone settings then applications, then manage applications you will need to remove it from there then download from the market again.

Please uninstall the beta. Then re-download your purchase from the market.

Thank you both for the extra speedy reply. Yes I had forgotten that the beta version was still "lerking" on my external micro SD card. (Still inside the phone). I had unmounted the card trying to get Samsung KIES to connect to my phone.
Now I have got V352, Thank you.

Dave,

You use Google Maps too?

Do Google Maps open when you start CamerAlert (settings) on your Galaxy?

Cheers

Kevin,

Yes I use Google Maps at the moment and I have just checked my new download of CamerAlert which does not have that navigation in the list of "also start".
Reading above posts it would seem that this will be in the next version of CamerAlert.

Pocketgps,

"You sure"? Doesn't appear in my list at all. Are you SURE you are seeing "Google Maps/Google Navigation" in that list??

Unless Darren & Co have re-posted 352 with the inclusion of that in the list (which I doubt, as I would have thought they would reflect a newer software release number).

Maybe you could check/verify?

Cheers

Google Maps is not in the current release version, but is in the next one to be released very soon.
