Thanks for all your help,

I have a mapsettings.cfg file with warnings for all the UK and also European PGPSW cameras in.
It is set to warn at 700 yards using bell 1 for fixed cameras and beep 5 for mobiles, it was created on an SD card copy of my old GO 740 live.
Although with spoken alert OGG files installed, the sounds are overridden with the spoken alerts.

Would this be of use?
If so, somebody let me know how to add to the forum?

Would you mind emailing it to me?

Thanks

Thank you very much for your help. It (almost) works a treat now.

The only slight issue I still have is as follows:

I converted the European zoned bmp files using FastStone (an excellent program).

1) I changed the file type to PNG

2) I selected 24-bit (with max compression and no filter)

3) I resized to 96 x 96 (pixels) and left 'preserve aspect ration' ticked

4) Copied them across to the western europe folder.

Now they show up fine in the POI menu, but on the actual map, they just show up as red squares???

It seems i just can't manage to re-format/rename the bmp files.

Sorry to be a pain,

Roger

Is it not 44 x 44 ?

Mine are all 44 x 44 including some I initially made myself for 740 live and then converted to PNG format for iPhone.

They all seem to work OK on the iPhone 4.

Did 44 x 44 work?

It is general forum etiquette not to quote the post that you are answering if your answer is immediately below that post. It just takes up uneccesary space Confused . Use the Reply button at the bottom, rather than the Quote button Very Happy See above post. 8 blank lines and about 6 rows of text for a 1 line about 15 character answer

iPhone 3G/ 3GS = 22x22
iPhone4 =44x44 (Note it will work with 22x22 but they look very small on the screen) - Mike

Apologies, but I have better things to do than count blank lines!

I finally go around to playing with TomTom again (after IOS5 reset it and removed my mapsettings.cfg file, thus removing all speed cameras).

I re-converted the BMPs using FastStone (thanks again for the tip) to 44x44 PNGs, and it all works fine now, even in Europe! The only problem now is that the pgps Euorpean database seems very limited Crying or Very sad

I will have to make a note of all cameras I pass on my next trip and submit them to enhance the data base a bit Very Happy

Thanks for all your help on this one, and most especially for the mapsettings file.

You also stand a much better chance of becoming one of the 'Lifers' by submitting foreign cams. Very Happy But get them accurate Shocked

Hey guys,

Firstly 1.9 seems compatible with 1.7 files, and with my old files from before ios5.

Also, does anyone have a complete set of PNG's/BMP's + X2's for iPhone 4 (Retina 44x44?). I'm struggling to fix. I have all icons, but only small.

A zip would be MUCH appreciated!

But it's not immediately obvious that it contains the 44x44 icons Mike Very Happy

Thanks guys,

As I was messing about with my POIs with the 1.9 update I figured I might as well go the whole hog and integrate the speed cameras rather than use the app. Figured there would not be another update for a while now, I hope TomTom got it right 1st time Laughing Out Loud
