Having received good service from my GO 710 I now find that the battery is close to dying. I've just ordered a new one but might upgrade to the TomTom GO 750 LIVE as well.

Can anyone please confirm that I can still use Itinerary Planning and have full control over planning routes as well as loading my own POIs with this version?

I did briefly look at the spec of the new 1000 but no itinerary planning = no sale as far as I'm concerned. I use Itinerary Planning all the time and want the facility to add my own POIs - without these two facilities I'll stick to my trusty 710.

Many thanks for your anticipated advice

750 Live will be fine for what you need, it includes full third party POI support as well as Itinerary planning the Go-1000 currently doesn't do either of these basic functions - Mike

But first have a look at the problems associated with upgrading maps on the 750. As delivered to you, you can't immediately upgrade to the latest map or it crashes. I ended up sending mine back and getting a 950 instead, even though I am unlikely to need the US mapping in the near future.

A 750 combined with a 4GB Micro SDHC card (class 6) will do everything as needed and negates the need for using the stupid zonal European mapping - Mike

That's exactly what I've done Mike although it was a real phaff to achieve it.
