Almost certainly no. Most if not all use their own proprietary databases and software.

The only exception is InfoRad who use our database under licence.

Which review said that? You can't use our database directly, you must update using the data and software from InfoRad.

They licence our data but have their own sources as well. The data they supply to endusers is therefore a mix but when I last tested it was pretty good.

Those reviews are two years old so I wouldn't put too much emphasis on then. I'm not sure what the practical differences are between the models are.

You need to bear in mind that all these devices lack the functionality you get if you install a database on a satnav.

Having a map to refer to when you receive an alert is very useful as are warnings that clearly differentiate between camera types and the road speeds.

Dedicated devices cannot alert you to where the threat is and only some of the more expensive ones will give you info on type etc.

Inforad also sell versions called the CI and V6. The CI seems to be for Europe only, and the V6 may also be for Europe only. But the V6 can be purchased from fleebay. Both read out voices, but there may not be an English voice.

The CI uses a sim card as well as gps to get its data. The V6 is updated via their Inforad Manager software, same as the K1 ans V4 etc.

Edit: The company selling it on fleebay is Pixmania, owned by Dixons Retail Plc in the UK.

I have the Novus Rider.
Free updates monthly for life.
Never let me down and also displays accurate, current speed.
Does the lot. Fixed, mobile, average speed.
Good luck Wink
