newbe on trails

if i go hill walking with no route planned i cant seem to get trails to plot my route i have tried turning trails on but still no red dots what am i doing wrong at this rate i will be going back to garmin

When viewing the GPS Map page,press the toggle switch ( in the centre at the bottom ).

The trail on/off/small are on the right hand side at the bottom.

To turn the trail ( red dots ) on you perversley have to have Turn Trail Off displayed.

To return to the map either press the toggle switch again or press Map ( bottom left ).
