Unfortunately the experience is spoiled by my 930 squawking in the background; yup, two devices until they sort the POI issue.

jmcmtank, you do know that if you use the PGPSW ogg files for the speed camera warnings you can use a silent voice for the navigation directions?

Very impressed that you can navigate to a motorway junction from the map.....or could you always do that?

That was always possible.

Good tip, funnily enough I use the PGPSW files so I'll try that.Thumbs Up I'm also interested in how the two devices handle routing etc. They are pretty much identical btw, albeit the 1000 is not verbose enough; the 930 warns sooner of a turn and seems to issue a reminder of what's coming up. As previously mentioned in the thread, re-routing is pretty instantaneous, with the 930 still churning away 2-3 seconds after the 1000 has changed the route. I'm also anxious to see how traffic is handled as the 930 uses it's own phone to get the info, must drive in more jams.....Oh yes, anyone know if the 1000 uses assisted gps, ie the cell network, to get an initial fix?

Suspected as much, I rarely navigate to a point on the map, only taken me 5 TomToms to notice!
