hi all
tomtom one iq routes europe
following advice from this forum recently, i cleared out the 'ephem' folder on my unit.
now when i connected to HOME i did not get the offer of downloading the gps quickfix data, only the map corrections.
i have kept a backup of the ephem folder on my pc just in case its needed.
how do i get to download this data from now on.
many thanks |

Open TomTom Home and look in
Tools Menu, Preferences, Folders Tab
The first entry should be to a folder called Downloads. If you look in that folder on your PC you should have another folder called "complete". Inside that another called "empheris". Inside that should be several folders called "QuickGPSfix", "QuickGPSfix-1", "QuickGPSfix-2", "QuickGPSfix-3" etc...
CLOSE TomTom Home - otherwise you'll get an error. Make sure the tray icon at the bottom right of the screen has gone (if not right click it and select Exit)
Then Delete the "QuickGPSfix" folders above. Try updating again. Those folders are all your old "QuickGPSfix" downloads.

If anyone else needs this info, the important thing is that you need to delete BOTH the contents of the "ephem" folder on the TomTom AND the contents of the "ephemeris" folder on the PC.
Doing just one or the other wont do it. |
