Ique 3600 in Ireland

Hello,
we will be traveling to ireland in the fall. Does anyone know exactly how 'detailed' the coverage is in the southern counties that Garmin has listed on their site? Will it be worth it to purchase the 3600 and the europe map to help us get around?

I recently toured Ireland on a sales trip with a Streetpilot III, mapsource Europe software. City navigation was excellent and faultless, between cities was limited to major roads but kept me on track OK. The Irish have a habit of providing fast roads between towns but not around them, it's a pig going through some of them.
I imagine mapsource maps to be similar across different products, IMHO I wouldn't be without GPS, depending on were you are going a mapbook would not be needed. I can let you know how detailed areas are if you let me know were you are going

thanks for the reply. we will be on a split tour - 5 days on bus that ends at shannon and then were on our own for 5 days with shannon being the 'base camp'. So, we'll be sightseeing in the counties on that side of Ireland. I appreciate what ever insight you can provide.
