TT730 will not connect to GPRS Traffic

I have had to format my 730 and now I can no longer connect to GPRS Traffic. I can connect to my phone ok but I get the message 'unable to setup data connection do I want to select from a list or setup manually'
I an using a Sony Ericsson W810i with an Orange Contract SIM. the sim is on a mobile broadband only contract. This configuration has worked perfectly for the last year. I have a full windows backup from before I did the format. Are there any files I need to copy back over that may help?
