Hi there. i am running IGO8 8.3.2 on my XDA Orbit 1, it is working perfectly apart from some of the terms used in the English language choice.
Instead of saying 'Motorway' it is saying 'Highway', and when you are coming up to a roundabout, when it tells you which turn off to take it says 'turn back at roundabout and take the ......exit' instead of 'enter roundabout and take the .....exit'?
Any ideas why, or is there a way I can change it to say the correct terms?

The latest UK English voice files use motorway not highway, perhaps yours are older or you may be using the US English voice files.
'Turn back at roundabout and take the ......exit' ' is only used when you are actually requested to make a u-turn at a roundabout, at all other times you should get 'enter roundabout and take the .....exit'

I've found English UK Kate says Highway and on the link road to the M2 shes says Turn Back, although the route shows correctly.
I changed to English UK Philippa and everything OK.

Both the latest UK English voice files, Kate v1.1 and James v1.1, say motorway, I've just extracted the voice files and played them back.

| My Kate says motorway, and if I am going more than about 3/4 way round a roundabout she says 'turn back at roundabout and take the ......exit' even if it is not the road that I am approaching on. |

Thank you all for you help and suggestions.
I have checked all of the English UK voices that I have, and they all say 'Highway', strange that innit?
I have looked for other voices on the internet to see if they are any different but cant find any. I know it is possible to edit the voices in Soundforge or the like, but would be difficult getting the same sounding voices to do that with.
Any other suggestions anyone? I know it's only a small nag, but it's annoying.
