Hi to all you TT3 users ...I had intended swopping to TT3 (I'm currently a Destinator3 user) but after reading ALL your treads I'm so glad I haven't .. Have you guys thought about cutting your losses and swopping to Destinator3? I use it 5 days a week 8 hours a day, believe me it works... don't take my word for it , see the lack of treads for yourself Thumbs Up.

Who supplies the mapping and does it have M6 tool road?
Can you route along the A69 in westward direction and get past junction
with B6309?
Having got used to TT its hard to change especially with ability to
add extra POI but yes your right why stay with product just because it
had a good past

TomTom is the biggest selling nav system for PDAs and the number of complaints and problems are likely to be higher than all the rest. The only postings your going to see here are complaints.

For the record I have the TomTom system V3 and it works perfectly, I'm sure Destinator 3 is an excellent product but I don't need to cut my losses and swop because I have no losses in the first place.

I agree, TT3 is working very well for me also, and seems much more stable than TT2 on my system. I do not get so many problems now when I switch off - I always had to be so careful in the way I closed everything down. The issue with High Streets doesn't really bother me. I don't know anyone who lives in "High Street", and I usually know where I am going, I need TT to show me the best/quickest way.

Destinator 3 is well recognised as having some of the worst routing problems seen on a satellite navigation system. The problem was so bad PowerLoc had to re-issue the entire 1GB maps set for Europe (3.054).

The feature set is also lacking when compared with TTNAV 3 (no traffic, proper avoids, etc, etc.)

TT's address lookup is pretty annoying, although not critical, but other than that, for me it works pretty much flawlessly, and having used both Destinator 3 and TTNAV3 there is no comparison to be made I'm afraid.

TomTom3 works perfectly for me, I've never had a problem.
Gets me through my 30,000 miles a year without any trouble.

I've always kept running with the latest TT3 updates too.

I have to admit TT3 is great for me, the POIs and Postcode plug-in is simply fantastic, speed camera warning plus navigate by full postcode to within a few yards is pretty damn good! The look up address can be a pain, but a small price to pay for a good product.
