I am still using my trusty TomTom One version 1 from 2005 which has given me good service over the years and, I have updated when necessary over that period.
At the present time I am using the ‘United Kingdom and republic of Ireland’ map v845.
The device also carries maps ‘UK and IE plus major roads of WE’ v675. and ‘Great Britain’ v605, which never seem to be updated. Is there any point in hanging on to these last two, as I am unlikely to use the unit in Europe and should I delete them from the device? (I have backups).
Secondly, I noted mikealders advice about updating to the latest version Postcodes issued by Tele Atlas v845. I checked out all the codes which I use for people over various parts of the country and found they were accurate in their location.
Is it a case that TeleAtlas have added further Postcodes for those developments that have sprung up during the last couple of years or so, without addressing the problem of those destinations which have found to be patently wrong from way back.?

As you have backups of the other two maps you can remove them from the device if you want to but to be honest they are not causing a problem just sitting on the SD card.

I have no idea what they have added/ removed/ adjusted in the latest release of postcode data as they never seem to issue any information about each release - Mike
