Hi all

Many thanks to all who spend time helping people like me on this excellent forum.

Maybe someday I will be an expert myself :P

OK quick question ... what is the best screen protector for the Medion package PPC250. Im thinking from both a quality point and also a size fitting point.

I have seen the Writeshield and the Brando ones mentioned on the forum but havent a clue as to the model to fit my screen Confused

Any help appreciated Smile

Cheers

Allan

They mostly come as "one size fits all" and suggest you use scissors if that's not working.

From what I heard Brando should be good. I have never used the screen protectors myself (and I use the Pocket PC heavily). Not a single scratch on the display so far. But plenty of dents in the rest of the machine ;-)

sorry to bump this old thread Smile

Has anyone with a Medion PPC250 from Aldi or Halfords purchased a screen protector for it?

Just curious as to which one is a good fit as they dont seem to specify one that is for the medion pocketpc on the Brando site.

I heard the brando ones are good so was going to go for one of them.

Cheers

After seeing discussions on the German pocketnavigation.de Web site that suggested that the Brando protector for the HP Ipaq 1940 would fit the PPC250, I ordered one (from http://www.shirtpocket.co.uk/)

It's an extremely tight fit and I had to tuck it under the edges of the surrounding frame (even though you are advised not to do so). But it seems to be working well and the non-reflective surface is particularly useful in the car.

The semi-rigid nature of the Brando protectors makes them slightly easier to fit than the floppy variety.

BTW, ShirtPocket had the Brando protectors in stock even though their Web site showed that they were out of stock. If in doubt, given them a call - or order direct from Brando in Hong Kong.

If you have a sharp knife and a steady hand, you may be able to do it. But it's just a matter of a millimetre or two that needs to be trimmed, so if you get it wrong, the results may not look too good! Good luck.
