I also got my £ 8 free gift from TomTom and having read your post I thought that I would buy the Homer voice.

Maybe it's me , but in my efforts to buy the voice at no time do I see a box anywhere that I can put in my vouchercode number and thus get the voice for zilch.

Has anybody else tried to buy things with their free gift vouchercode number and where is the box to input the code ?

Have you gone through the process to the point where you have to pay via HOME? That's where you can input the code.
I doubt whether I will go down that route - I get enough grief from her indoors with the simplist of camera 'dongs', already! Homer would be the last straw Rolling Eyes

I also tried to buy the Homer voice but I reached a screen asking for credit card details so decided to abort the attempt. I do not wish to give TomTom accesss to my bank account in any shape or form! This is the second time I've had an £8 voucher from TomTom which I cannot use.

Yes , I went right to the point of how you choose to pay ( Mastercard , Visa , Paypal , etc ) and beyond.
I selected 2 of the options , Mastercard and then tried with Paypal and both times all it wanted was cold hard cash..................no sign of a vouchercode box anywhere ?????

I did not go that far. I suggest you go HERE and then 'Support' and ask the question. You should get an answer within 24 hrs. Rolling Eyes

Best I can suggest.

Sorry, you can't use these voucher codes to buy Homer, it's been mentioned a few times before.
There is no way to use the voucher codes when buying something through TTHome.

I tried again to buy the Homer voice using the voucher and thought the voucher code box would appear on the last and final Paypal page to confirm payment, but it didn't and now I've paid £7.95 for it, and still have the worthless voucher. I've emailed TomTom asking if they can apply the voucher code to my order and refund the £7.95 into my Paypal account, but I'm not holding my breath!

Wow, got a response from TomTom already, however................

"Your TomTom voucher code can only be used to place orders from www.tomtom.com You cannot use the voucher to purchase items through the TomTom HOME software program. The value of the item(s) you purchase using the voucher must cost more than the value of the discount.

Please visit www.tomtom.com to purchase items and input the voucher code during checkout to receive your discount. Please refer to other terms and conditions listed at the bottom of the e-mail that contains your voucher code."

I guess I should have read the small print!

On
another forum
, a user has reported he managed to update his Speed camera subscription from TT using the voucher, by buying it on the website rather than through Home.

So *some* services can be bought (although I don't think that particular one is worth even a discounted price!)
