Nuvi 265WT Lost Sound

Hi,

New Garmin dabbler on littl'uns behalf, please go easy

Connected unit to webupdater and updated all files it said I needed. It upgraded OS to v6 and bluetooth firmware amongst others. On ejecting the bluetooth update failed. There was no sound including button presses. I followed advice from elsewhere and replaced the new BT files with the originals from a back up to force a further upgrade. This went fine but didn't cure the no sound problem.

I then formatted the unit and reinstalled the backup I made prior to updating (I've learnt something from here!). On restart the OS was v6 which surprised me because I'm assuming it should have been earlier.

I'm totally confused and under severe pressure to cure the problem as you can imagine. No amount of searching the web has come up trumps. I've emailed Garmin support and wasted most of today.
