Maybe I am doing something wrong here but. If I plan a route from home to B its worked out by the TT. But if I deviate from the route ie by a road diversion, or if I take a different part of the route because I know it will be quicker/less congested. The TT doesn't recalculate the route as did my old TTOne, it spends the next mile or so telling me to turn around when possible. It only when I near the originally planned route that the recalculation cuts in and then picks up the mapping.
Now this is no problem when I know where I am, but if I was to follow this in another city I could be in trouble. Say the route was marked as a diversion and you had no choice but to pull off the route, what use is the TT if it then spends the next few miles trying to turn you around?
Is there a way to stop this happening please? |

If you originally selected fastest route the TT will keep trying to get back on that route just so long as its calculations still think it would be quicker. Only when its works out your revised route is now quicker will it change its routing. Similar could apply for other choices e.g. shortest. |

Interesting. I wonder just which model you have and what application version you are using - how recent. I know you said TTOne XL, but there are so many One models it's difficult to know just where you're at.
Back in my earlier days with TTs (started in 2005 with a GO300) I found the "Turn around when possible" a constant nag. Over the years, I have found the "improvements and developments" mean the "Turn around" is almost a thing of the past. When I make a delivery, say I turn into a side road and stop at the second property, when I tap to Navigate to Home, unless the road I'm on is no through route, the TT will ask me to move off in the same direction as I was travelling when I stopped and take the next three left or right turns to get me back to the road I turned off to make the delivery. I do so wish it would start with "Turn around" or "Make a U-turn" - some of these are quite convoluted returns to where I started from, may be some distance and the last one got me stuck trying to turn out into very heavy traffic instead of back onto a light controlled junction. _________________ Dennis
