Reconnecting to phone

After I have installed a new application I have had problems connecting to my phone, a Sagem my401X. I had followed the advise of deleting the phone from the Tom Tom and vice versa.
The answer was too simple but I will pass it on for others who may be as foolish as me. You have to delete the Tom Tom from the phone AND SWITCH THE PHONE OFF AND ON AGAIN.
I've tried this several times now and it always works. You get data and handsfree.

If you are still having problems delete the contents of the ppp folder and reboot the phone and the TT - it will recreate everything when you re-pair.

Shame it doesn't stop it locking up etc on calls though!
