Remote control pairing

It really bugs me why TomTom decided not to allow pairing of the bluetooth remote while driving. I recently replaced mine due to a theft and just happened to attempt to pair it while on the move. I would understand it completely as a safety issue if it weren't for the ironic fact that the error message that comes up causes far more distraction to the driver than clicking on the "do you want to pair" button. As a result I had to stop the car to do it.
Trivial I know, but have now got it off my chest :-)
