On 10 Aug I bought a Digiwalker Mio 168 with CoPilot Live V5 from Evesham that was shipped with 4.5. A few days later this message appeared on their website "Please note that until stock of version 5 software becomes available you may be shipped vr4.5 software. Version 5 software will automatically be sent to you FREE OF CHARGE once available." Last week this message disappeared and on emailing Evesham this was their reply on 24 Aug "Thank you for your e-mail. We do now have stock of the Co-pilot V5 software. ALK will be sending a copy of this software direct to you within the next few weeks." I then emailed ALK but todate have had no reply.
Has anyone else had this experience and to those who know ALK how likely is it that I will recieve V5 soon? Although I have been using 4.5 I am reluctant to spend more on it in case 5 works differently. Will I be wasting my time getting up to spec in 4.5?
Otherwise am pleased with my first nav software experience, especially as a new driver. 8) |

Hi Salbo,
I have bought the same myself from an evesham store, and I am still waiting for my free v5 upgrade.
I would be interested to now if anyone else has received their free upgrade after buying from an evesham store?

Salbo,
Just received my upgrade today.
you won't automaticaly be sent a v5 free upgrade, you have to ring copilot up themselves (Tel 0207 4044222) and then send them a proof of purchase from evesham, that would be your invoice, but they would except a copy of it and you could send it by email if you want.
But I should hurry because I think they will only send out a free upgrade if you claim within a month of purchase.
