x40 mount faulty

Hi

I have bought a 540 about a week ago and have recently noticed that that when I have the 540 dash mounted the release button on the mount rattles quite bad it also does this when it is window mounted to stop it I have folded up a bit of paper and stuck it between the release button to stop it.

I cant work out if this is a faulty mount for just part of the tom tom experience any x40 owners advice Confused

If I hold the mount in my hand and shake it, I can make the button rattle a bit. I've never noticed it doing it in the car though.

Mine rattled quite badly, particularly at around 70mph. Quite annoying on the motorway!

I removed the two T6 screws to investigate and found that like yours it was because the release button was slightly loose. To fix it I put a small piece of foam between the button mechanism and the small circuit board underneath it. No more rattles...
