Using Winfast Navigator and question on COM Ports

I've been looking for some information to help with an issue I'm having with a SysOnChip CF GPS receiver and TT6 running on my hx2490b (WM5)
My search has lead me to Winfast Nav' V1.01.

I've read the tweaking and testing post from Dave Burrows (2003) but I have a few questions about the program itself.

1 - Whenever I select "port settings" I get an error- "Couldn't find Value!". I click ok 4 times before it goes to the normal protocol screen. Sometimes neither NMEA nor SiRF are selected

2 - Whenever I go to "Command" the reset mode is always set to "Factory". But I'm trying to select "cold".

Any ideas anyone?
