Has anyone managed work out a way to disable Static Nav on this datalogger? It really annoys me that after a long period of standing still, the unit does not log any speed until you exceed 5mph ish.

I've also heard that the unit is capable of logging at up to 5Hz. Does anyone know how to activate this or set it?

thanks in advance

I have one of these.

You need to set the logging type and rate using one of the apps Darren pointed you at. They were supplied in the box with my device. There is a V3 and V4 application - you need both! V3 allows you to set parameters that you can't with V4 but V4 is very good at manipulating the track logs.

You can set log by time interval (1sec is the fastest they have available as an option), or by distance moved (eg every 50 metres). These may be triggered when you go over a certain speed - the default is set to 20kph - not practical for walking!

They work very well indeed - logged a whole week's worth of sailing and it never missed a beat and still had lots of memory left.

The unit bears a remarkable similarity to a 5Hz capable device on the market - but I suspect it has different firmware in it. Whether or not it is on the web is another matter.
