Upgrade CoPilot 6 to 7 using same database?

A week ago I downloaded and installed the speed camera database on to my IPAQ with CoPilot 6 installed. Then a couple of days ago, I purchased and installed an upgrade to CoPilot7.

Since then, my subscription to PocketGPSWorld has run out!

The question is this: can I use the week-old database for CoPilot 6 and install that on my upgraded CoPilot 7 device? Will it work and how will it affect the camera speed warming already built-in and supplied with the CoPilot 7 upgrade?

What's wrong with renewing the subscription! Your install is already a week behind the latest. An out of data database is a dangerous thing as it may give you a false sense of security.

Darren, I will renew my subscription as I think you have a good service (although I preferred the £2 a time option). But I wanted to get some value out of my one week download! I agree it is best to upgrade regularly, but once a week is a little too regular for me.

So I'm still awaiting an answer to my question.

There's only one way you're going to find out. If it is an in-place upgrade then it may work, if it's a completely new installation then it likely won't.

Do you have the files you downloaded last week available on your desktop?

Darren. Thanks for the prompt answer. Yes, I did save the file from last week's download. I am just wary of using it in case it causes problems (I suppose I can always re-install the CoPilot 7 upgrade).
