I have been searching and reading but I'm well confused. I have done the 8.3 upgrade the LMG to 815 and have got the well documented stutter. I have seen people have updated to 8.32 which has removed the issue so I am after some advice. I have downloaded 8.32 from one of the threads but not 100% how to load it onto my 720, I did read somewhere that you can load it to a memory card and the machine will still work using 8.32. When I look at the file structure in Winrar there does not appear to be as many files as on the device. Also I have seen stuff about Kate V7 which again I have downloaded but again not 100% what to do to load on device.
Finally a quick question about Lane Assist, should it work on all motorway junctions or only some of them?
Sorry for all of this but an idiots guide would be much help.
Cheers

There is a guide on how to install the 8.32 by mikealder here: http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=71821&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=405
I have also read that if you follow those instructions and load to a sd card instead of the unit, the unit will automatically run from the 8.32 on the sd card when the card is inserted.
Make sure you do a full windows explorer back up before you start playing around. Then you can load it on to the device and you can always change back. |

First and most important step is to backup the device to the PC before you meddle with any files/ folders.
Have a read through This which explains how to install the download to the device.
This Post also contains some information and links but I guess you have already read that one
Lane Assist/ reality view only works on some motorway junctions and even fewer A roads.
If you need some detailed instructions on dual booting the device I will create some later, I thought I had written this up but I can only find posts telling people to do it without explaining how it is achieved - Mike |

Thanks for this, I would like some instructions to dual booting as I want to keep the device "standard" and the memory card the workaround until TomTom finally get around to fixing the stutter issue.

What size memory card have you got as this might influence how I write it up - Mike |

Mike
I currently have a 2gb card but don't mind getting a larger one if needed.
