Orange SPV M700 (HTC Trinity) problem

I am trying to use my M700 as a modem to receive traffic updates on my GO 520. Everything works OK to start with but after a while (maybe 10 mins) bluetooth gets turned off on the phone and the GO can no longer communicate with it. Bluetooth stays on all the time normally. This only happens when the phone is connected to the TomTom.

Does anyone have any ideas please? Apologies if this is in the wrong section.
