One of the chaps at work has been messing around with this and got nowhere, last week we also tried McGuider on the Omnia which installed correctly but the phone wouldn't get past the password screen. Removal of the memory card and a reset sorted that issue out.

The strange screen size might take a while for program creators to catch up with these devices, if too many different screen sizes appear to market then they probably won't get much mainstream software - Mike

I manage to run IGO 8 on my Omnia but only in landscape mode. You have to replace your SYS and Data files buy adapted ones. They are available on a few forums

The simplest way: to find a skin with 242x400 & 400x242 support.
While digging some forums, I've found dimka skin modified especially for Omnia.
Update: I'ce just took look at http://navngo.com/pages/global/eng/news_and_press/samsung_eng_20081008 , where you can see the Omnia with horizontal (startup screen) & vertical (nav screen) modes.

Mhm... which modification? Typical Dimka skin contains too many and too small info...

Same here. I can use it both landscape and portrait with the standard skin. I'm using ver8.0 as the current Australian Sensis R15 map is incompatible with 8.3 Sad

Oh well. I'll have to wait until then new R16 map is released in Feb (I hope!)

the omnia uses 200x400 or 400x200 ,and if you open the contents of the data.zip file, then ui_igo8 youll see the list of resolutions that the skin supports, if you try to run a skin without the resolution the omnia throws up a ferrui error

Cool

On the naviextras.com forum you can find that Omnia is officially supported device now. If you have any particular problems, you can go directly to them:
