Nice one John.
I do let all my corrections upload, simply because they're all genuine ones, I don't do any for my own purposes only. It must be a bit frustrating for you though, as you can't let yours go because of your private ones. It is heartening to know you recognise the problem and are not so irresponsible as to upload them. I have seen too many comments from people who upload temporary roadworks speed limits and road closures, saying they can be reset when the roadworks end.
I approve of sending in my corrections, because it can only do good in the long run (no different really from submitting cameras to pgpsw). But I won't download anything until I know the verification process used by TomTom is sound. To be honest, from another post I saw this week, it looks as though their process is to have somebody look at the submissions to edit duplicates or conflicting ones - there was no indication of anyone actually going out to look at the tarmac! I remember suggesting some time ago they need a good looking whitevanman (or rather Almostaudimetallicsilvervanman) to go round verifying for a nice little princely sum. _________________ Dennis

Because I need to open up certain roads (i.e. restricted access bus lanes) for dedicated PCV route work, I cannot therefore consider uploading these changes in future, as I would be putting other users at risk of prosecution for driving along roads that they should not be on, bearing in mind that sometimes the prohiition road signs can be missed when watching the SatNav
You do know that in Map Share Preferences you can set it to ask each time you make a correction on your device whether you want to share that particular correction? That way you can upload the corrections that apply to all drivers, but not those that you just make for your own use. _________________ Anita

Anita, I have to admit that I was unaware that it was possible to allow individual Corrections to upload . I need to re-connect the TT and set it accordingly because if that is possible, then I am happy to upload but will still refrain from downloading.
In that case I'm glad I mentioned it.
If by "I need to re-connect the TT" you mean to the pc, you can set that option on the device. Page 2 of the Main menu / Map corrections / Correction preferences / 2nd page = Sharing corrections. _________________ Anita
