Are you using the Home program? Or Windows Explorer? The latter is preferred.

Copy the folders one at a time to try and identify which folder is causing the issue, when you have all bar the troublesome folder backed up open that folder on the device and copy the files one by one until you can identify which file is causing the problem.
Post back with the file name and we can take it from there - Mike

Connect your device to the PC and shut down TomTom Home on the PC, Start up Windows Explorer and go to the drive letter E (this should be your device looking at your earlier post, click this and a list of files and folder will appear, this is the content of your TomTom's memory.
Select all the files and folders then right click and select "Copy" from the pop up, now go to your C drive on the PC and create a new folder called TomTom Backup, right click on the TomTom Backup folder and select "Paste"
This should copy all the contents of the device to the PC thus creating a backup, if this fails at the Statdata point again simply copy each folder one at a time from the device to the PC - Mike

Have you tried right clicking a folder on the TomTom drive and selecting Copy then paste that to the PC, repeat this operation for each folder and see what happens - Mike

I wouldn't worry to much about StatData as it only contains data that TomToms servers harvest from your device if you have agreed to partake in supplying feedback data, it certainly isn't needed for the device to operate correctly, I have never seen a file on a TT device named Backup01 though, you should also copy and past all the loose files in the root of the device as these are the files required for the device to boot up and operate - Mike

Root of the device what's that????
the only item not in the New TT Backup folder is the Backupinfo.ini which I have just copied across. All else in the Backup01 folder is already copied. Should I delete it?????

I had a quick look on my laptop and have found a folder called Backup01. It's under:

C:\Documents and Settings\Username\My Documents\TomTom\HOME\Backup\GO\Backup01, so it appears to be the one createdby HOME when running a backup. In the Backup01 folder are two further folders - InternalMemory and Storage plus a Backup Info.ini file.

The OP may not be used to Windows Explorer, so I would suggest he has a read of the notes on backup at

http://www.pocketgpsworld.com//modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=280501#280501, particularly to assist in locating the folders.

Hope this helps
