My Quest handles navigation just fine but the SC overlay is too distracting on a bike

Is there a unit out there that will load the PGPS database and just give audio or visual alerts? I don't need any navigation from it

If the audio could be fed into an Autocom all the better

Hi Kritou,

Do you have a PDA?
If you do, then the excellent GPS Speed Sentry, by Tchart is definitely worth a look! Thumbs Up

Regards,

In answer to the original question, the answer is 'not yet' but we may have news on this front in a few weeks.

I thought by now someone would have suggested that a Drivesmart fits the bill. Just in case they do I have tried shoehorning mine under the bike seat but moi's feet no longer touch the gound!

Size and design apart it's a workable solution. They still use SiRFII though which was long in the tooth when they were new.

As ever, the devil is in the detail. Things are however progressing at a pace and we'll let you all know once we have something we can announce Wink

Is this project still alive? or could there be a BT GPS/mobile phone application that does the same job but without a nav capability?

The project is still alive and yes there are already solutions for Smartphone and Nokia handsets available that use our data.
