Having worked out how to put cds onto the 760 I thought great, I don't have to carry loads of cds with me any more. Just a few sd cards and I'll have masses of music available. However, the sound quality is just about acceptable in open open top car at 100! Well maybe it's a bit better than that but not much. Is this normal? I am using my partner's old suzuki swift at the moment as my car needs a new clutch so the radio is no great shakes. I have let the 760 autotune and it's fine for directions but music is not what I would call anything near approaching cd quality. I've always ben sceptical about mp3 performance but thought that for music on the move it would be fine. Any comments?

If you have an aux in port on your car stereo system, connect an "ipod" type line between the nuvi and it (I think it's a 3mm cable). I seldom (as in only a couple of times) use the FM xmitter function. Unless you're in the country, far removed from metro broadcast stations, it's very difficult to get an acceptable signal to the radio. I did successfully set one up for a friend this past weekend, but it required routing the cable as close to the car antenna as I possibly could. His did sound OK when I finished. If your antenna in in the back, forget about using FM broadcast.
