Navman worries / iCN630 update

Just a quick post to update on the problems I had contacting Navman about my problems with the iCN630.

After a LOT of trouble finding contact details (thanks to those who posted mailed me) I finally spoke with a chap called Joy Khambhaita today.

This chap must rate as THE single most open, honest tech support person I have ever spoken with and deserves a customer relations medal from Navman. It is SO refreshing to find someone so honest who is willing to to be open and not try and fob-you-off.

It would be unfair for me to relate the entire conversation, but it started with me feeling very upset at spending £1,000 on something so flawed and feeling REALLY worried that the firm were fly-by-nights with no contact details available. It ended up with me feeling quite sorry for the postiion Mr Khambhata and the UK navman team find themselves in and quite reassured that things should improve.

I shall return my iCN630 but probably purchase again in a few months when they fix their product with updates.

Perhaps I should have tested the thing more thoroughly !!!
