I finally connected my TT-One to TT-Home yesterday after 18 months. I have successfully upgraded the s/w to 7.162, then I went to install the brand new UK map that I had bought yesterday on the website using the account user / password that I set up ages ago.
Now TT-Home is telling me that I can't install the map that I own with the message "This item cannot be installed on this device because of content restrictions". When I connect the TT-One to my PC, TT-Home seems to think that the device attached is not the one linked to the account. My only explanation is that when it went back for repair about a year ago, they changed the device code. I am now stuck because if I try to change the device code linked to the account, TT-Home says "You can not change your device code at this time. Your device code can only be changed once every six months. Please contact Customer Support if you require any assistance". And of course there is no TT support at weekends.
I, needless to say, am fuming, as I am not going to have a chance to do this in their working hours. Evil or Very Mad
Any suggestions? This is all in good faith - I am not trying to do anything wrong.

I have the same problem.
I got another 910 for a member of the family, updated and set it up for them on my computer, so now it is locked into my account.
Spoke to support about my fears of this and the downloading of new maps. I was told that there is nothing TomTom can do but as long as you login under your new account for your device you will be ok.
WRONG, as i found out, i went ahead and purchased the maps which automatically sent them to my profile address , so now i am up s*** creek without a paddle.
Worth bearing in mind that you must make sure you change your details in your Home profile as support seem to think that as long as you log in under a new email to relink your device it will allow you to download the maps, - it won't.
