V3 software upgrade

I have a TomTom One V2 Western Europe and a friend has just bought the V3 model.

Is there any way that I can upgrade my software to take advantage of some of the new (better) fetaures?

Connect to 'Home', select "update my device" (that's in Home 2)
It should offer you the latest version if there is one newer than your's (you don't say which version you have or that he has!)

Home 2.1 is available from TomTom HERE if you haven't got it already.
You will have to have registered your device with TomTom too.

Having said that, it's a bit new and I haven't seen a definitive list of what features work on which models yet. Some work on all ranges, some don't
