Anyone else having probs with mapshare this morning I can download poi's etc but when downloading map updates i get xulrunner problems. I don't think I have done anything to the computer or the 720 from my last update.
Ideas anyone?

My TTHome app just exits when trying to download the mapshare updates... I can get POI's, but not map corrections...

I can't seem to raise support questions online today either... Major failure somewhere inside TT?

Home 2 crashes with xulrunner.exe problem.
Home 1.6 just says "No updates" (when there should be).

#Update - Just tried Home 2 again and it seems OK for me now.

Oh strewth!! Now the GO 720 is cycling through startup and shutdown splash screens, over and over and over and simply won't switch off.

I'm having a really bad week. Here goes with the reset button - I hate to think how many times that's been this week! I'll give it another couple of days. Stop it!

Same xulrunner.exe error on a Windows XP Pro SP2 PC with my TomTom Go 720 when trying to down load just the Map Share Map Corrections

Works OK when you take the tick out of the Map Share Map Corrections and just download the POI Corrections

I haven't Its not that easy. It takes an age to trawl through the web site to get to report a bug

Here is TT's reply

Dear Mr Stinson,

At present, we do not have any further work around's for this problem. It is currently being addressed and our development team is working on a newer version of the software. WE hope to have this released shortly.

Thanks but as stated above I have disabled the bluetooth connection with the phone as well as deleting the paring and neither of these has worked. Have you any further suggestions?

Updating must be a hit and miss thing with Mapshare, as I was a happy bunny until today, for until now all was hunky dory with my TT720 and dowloads via Home software.

Today, I have joined the growing band of people experiencing problems downloading mapshare updates.

I am using HOME 2 and got I got my first 'XULrunner.exe' error today when trying to download mapshare updates (earlier updates were succesful although Bluetooth was always enabled).

Ok, so not to be defeated, I follow the recommended advice and disabled Bluetooth. Surprise, surprise - I still get the XULrunner.exe error. Now I try another approach and delete phone pairing and disabled bluetooth, you guessed, no joy.

Again, not to be defeated, I try Home 1.6. and the same result it cannot download any mapshare updates!

Next step, remove HOME software, reboot, reload HOME oftware, reboot. Try Download - Still unable to download Mapshare updates.

And at this point I as I could not think of another step apart from contacting Tom Tom.

Your right It is a hit and miss affair. When things don't work give TT a day or so, and look in these groups before upsetting you own machine with reloads etc. Often things will right themselves, just keep trying every couple of hours, or untill you read something from one of the members here.
If you have trouble its worth putting a new thread on, as somone will often confirm that the fault is with TT.
