Hi guys. Just wondering if there is any way of adding POIs to MioMap but NOT in igo.db.

The reason being that when adding POIs using POIExplorer I usually end up with a +2MB .db file that makes MioMap freeze for a couple of minutes when starting it... if it is even bigger, it can take 10 minutes to boot up!

I've noticed the folder "miotc/pois", and inside "poiupdates.upd" (769KB) and "speedcams.mtc" (1849KB).

Can we add more POIs (NOT speedcams, that is covered elsewhere in the forum) to poiupdates.upd? Does it store POIs at all, or just speedcams (contrary to what its name suggests)?

If we can't, can we add more .upd files into that folder? Would they need any naming convention?

I have created a +2MB upd file full of POIs using PoiEdit, however it doesn't seem to be loaded on the system...

It only stores speedcam changes that have been manually entered by the user.

You can add them, but no way has yet been found to make them display. If you can find a way I'm sure we would all like to know of it :D
