Hi

Having been an unfortunate user of the DriveSmart Defender2 jammer (which has never worked since day 1), I am after a replacement laser jammer. Thinking of either Laser Pro Park or the Blinder M20 X-Treme. Would I be making another mistake by going for one of these?

Thanks

I take it this will be due to the Governments Road Safety Bill Amendments??

Well doing 10 mph above the speed limit is illegal too, we all do it...so the care factor there is ZERO!

BBQ; Forget the Blinder, they are junk, if you use a Blinder you will also need to buy Veil (it is ugly and wrecks your headlights) and also a laser shield just to ensure the blinder works effective. I would never ever buy a blinder when there is so much better jammers out there.

Listen to eirie05, the LPP is the best jammer, it is also marketed as a Parking Sensor so that covers the legal side of it and you will only need 1 head on a normal car. Do a search on you tube for videos buy go.mouse, he has done a heap of test videos and you will see how good it is.

Have you tried to go to the dealer you got your def 2 from? Not fair if it hasnt worked since day 1

But will that cover the legal side? Will the Road Safety Bill be amended to cover parking sensor's that operate on laser frequency 904nm and make them illegal too?

Does anyone know if there is a date when this bill will come into force?

no they cant possible make them illegal, alot of high end units run laser guided cruise control and parking sensors that run in the 904nm area.

I personally think this is all hogwash about these new laws...they have been saying it for 4 + years and still nothing.

Thanks to everyone for their input - I will probably buy the LPP very soon. What online stockist would you recommend to purchase an LPP from?

Thanks

really this belongs in a different discussion thread, but regarding speed it's a fairly large grey area - i.e. a copper would likely let you off for straying a few miles an hour over (due to speedo accuracy and various other factors) however owning a (almost) illegal laser thingymabob is very black and white - you either have one or you don't.

anyway, on with your discussions, i'll butt back out now ;)

true, but what i was trying to say was you're more likely to be prosecuted for the laser detector/jammer as it is more black & white.
