HELP!!!!

Hi guys n Girls,

I'm new to the forum and I'm after some advice....

I'm looking to get a Garmin Etrex for walking and MTBing,I've noticed that I can get a unit from the USA alot cheaper than in the UK.
Is there any problems with compatabilty? Could I upload new UK mapping onto it?

I know that I will have to pay VAT on the item but it's still cheaper than getting one in the UK.

The GPS will work perfectly well in the UK. You will find that the basemap may not be correct for you but if you get a model that accepts maps then the UK/Europe data can be uploaded with no problems.

You may also find yourself eligible for import duty as well as the VAT so investigate that as well.

If I understand you correctly I can get one of these "Garmin 60CX GPS" from the States,the base map would only be of the US,but I can change this,and upload say a map of Snowdon on it??
