Hi Guys,

iGO 2006 SE is going through beta testing at the moment and it has now got speed camera warnings added. Is it possible to generate the format for this program as well??

Here is the format...

Quote:
SpeedCam Txt format:

Header:
X,Y,TYPE,SPEED,DIRTYPE,DIRECTION

Field Description
======+=============
X | horizontal/longitude (E/W) coordinate
Y | vertical/latitude (N/S) coordinate
TYPE | Camera type:
| 1 - Static camera,
| 2 - Built in Traffic light,
| 3 - Camera checking passing through red light,
| 4 - Section camera,
| 5 - Mobile camera
SPEED | Speed limit
DIRTYPE | Camera direction type:
| 0 - all directions (full 360')
| 1 - one direction (see DIRECTION field)
| 2 - both directions (DIRECTION + the opposite direction)
DIRECTION| Camera angle degree (between 0 and 359, 0 - North, 90 - East, 180 - South, 270 - West)

for example:

X,Y,TYPE,SPEED,DirType,Direction
18.9429837,47.4521967,1,100,2,90

Comments:
- Field names are not case-sensitive
- The last 2 fields can be omitted from the file, in this case all cameras will check all directions
- File name can be anything
- it has to be under POI/speedcam folder
- extension has to be TXT
- multiple files supported

Many Thanks!

Modaco had a news item about importing the pgpsw cameras ov2 format into the igo format.

See here....

Can a mod change the title of this Thread to iGO 2006 SE Speed Cams please?

It would make more sense then. Thanks.

yes, that's easy enough to do. will try get something together later today (using heading & direction info etc) and will aim to have an official release with the next camera database release.

do you know what versions of igo this will work on? does it have to be, specifically, the 2006 se you mention?

This works with the release version of "iGO 2006 SE" which has now been renamed by NavNGo as "iGO My way 2006 Plus".

Presumably it also works with most of the "iGO 2006 SE" Beta versions but these are now redundant following the release of the final version.

It does not work with the original "iGO 2006" version since this does not support speed cameras.

Regards

Roger

MaFt

I asked this question on the Igo developers forum but received no reply.

However from what I can determine:

Camera Type 2:

This is a combined traffic light and speed camera, the icon shows both a speed camera and a traffic light symbol and the speed limit for the speed camera can be set.
I don't think that this type is used in the UK.

Camera Type 3:

This is a traffic light camera only, the icon shows only a traffic light symbol and there is no option to set the speed limit.
I think that this is the standard traffic light camera used to detect vehicles crossing the lights on red.

Regards

What about the DIRTYPE and DIRECTION fields for the various camera types, do you have any data for these ?

Or will you just be setting both fields to zero (or just omitting them) ?

Regards

we have them Smile just only mio and drivesmart can use them at the moment (and igo) so we don't release stuff that the other systems can't use!

Hi Guys,

I inspected the binary spud files and discovered the speedcam angle is stored in just a single byte. However an angle can range from 0 to 359 and a byte can only store 0 to 255. Any idea how store high angle values?
