This is for my wifes car and her use...I will have my own solution in my car.

I presume the 720 comes with its own mount but for a non powered mount that won't destroy the dash or can be easily removed or fitted by the wife ....any recommendations please ?...For a Yaris....

I'm assuming windscreen is the likely option of choice ?

The standard x20 mount supplied with the device will suffice, you will need to consider power to the unit though, running them on internal battery alone is not a good idea. If you have plans to fit a custom powered holder in your own car the "spare parts" will be OK for the Yarris.

TomTom do a second car mounting option for the x20/ x30 see Here Ok thats for the x30 but it will fit as there is no difference in the mounting shoe, if you need the second holder and charger cable though I would shop around as you should be able to find it cheaper TBH - Mike

Thanks Mike. I guess she will mount it on the right of the steering wheel on the windscreen and the issue will be if the cig charger will reach. If it doesn't I can always extend it but I though the windscreen would be the best place.

Did look at Brodit clip for the Yaris

But I think she would prefer a better location. The suction fittings are easy enough to remove anyway.

The Brodit solutions are a great product, I have three such holders in the car for different devices, but if this is occasional use only there is little point spending a fortune on a third party mount - try it and see what it looks like if SWMBO is happy then you should be happy Wink

There are extension cables available for the ciggy sockets from Maplins/ halfords etc, but the standard charger cable has a decent length, to be honest for my 720 I have only used the bits supplied with the device to mount it in various cars (I did convert the Home dock to use in the car with a Brodit Pro Clip and tilt/ swivel housing which worked very well and still does, see Here - Mike

Very clever indeed...a man after my own heart...

I have a Brodit clip installed in my Passat so will use the Carcomm CNM 161 to mount the TT there. Happy with the suggestions of seeing what the windscreen mount looks like. I think it will be fine
