Ford 9000 vnr help.

Hello, Ive just got myself an 9000 VNR headunit for my ford focus. Can i buy cd's for it direct from navtech, and will they have TMC codes on them? does anybody have a copy of such a disk i can try? Thanks fr your help....Mark

If I remember correctly, you can only get the Navigation CDs from Ford - Navteq don't appear to sell them (this is common). Whether or not they come with TMC codes often depends on the price - there is often a cheaper one without TMC codes, and a more expensive one with TMC codes.

Oh, and you may find to get TMC to work you'll need to buy an aerial splitter, or short across both the aerial connectors on the back, as the TMC system uses a second radio aerial system within the unit (apparently).
