Navigon v5.2.6

I have just emailed Navigon to ask whether this version supports TMC in the UK or whether I would have to buy version 6.

Before I buy a receiver, can anyone confirm that this version does support TMC in the UK? Most posts seem to suggest that it cannot as Navigon did not pay the licence fee.

Any help/advice gratefully received.

V4 worked, but possibly shouldn't have done. V5 was released without UK TMC. V6 has always supported UK TMC since they had paid the license fee by then. It's possible they produced an update to V5 to add UK TMC support (as they were now allowed to). However, I have no experience of Navigon to confirm this for you.

Having received an RDS-TMC receiver this morning, I can confirm that Navigon v 5.2.6 works with TMC. It has pulled in over 80 messages this morning on 95.8 mhz (Capital Radio). It uses Trafficmaster data and provides info on the type of problem and the likely delay. I have not tried it for re-routeing yet but will update the forum when I have a chance. It is running on a Mio 168 and the receiver is a GNS FMS TrafficBox RDS TMC Adapter.

So there is no need to wait for Navigon v 6 if you want TMC data.
