I do know about this one specifically, but its a third of the price of the one I bought for my Geodesy. However recently I have have come across an increasing number of mobile radar based traps, in East Anglia, so a radar detector add on is a neccessary part of the defences.

I don't know this particular detector but generally the cheap radar detectors like this are fairly poor performers.

Radar detectors have a very difficult job picking up radar units if they are in front of you and facing the same direction you are traveling (which is the way most Gatsos work). When they are facing towards you they will pick it up from miles away.

Try and find a review on the net before you buy. Be suspicious of any supplier who claims they have a defense against LASER traps. The only way to avoid being nicked when you are targeted with a LASER is to have a jammer installed.

Impossible to say as the radar detector module is not yet available. I do know that the North Wales Safety Camera partership use laser in most of their mobile units unlike most which still use radar.

I think I found out this today. I wasnt speeding but I seen a mobile van on the other side of the road so decided to test my laser unit. So drove back around to drive past it. The unit didnt beep once Sad

So either that means my unit failed or the mobile van wasnt on. Or now it could be a radar mobile van.
