North America maps for Destinator3

Am running D3 (UK and Europe) on an Acer n35 without any issues to get concerned about. However i could do with getting some maps of North America.
Are any available?
from where?
do i need to upgrade to the next version up?
what is the next version up?
I have seen Destinator PN on eBay, is that any use?
Sorry for all the qustions, but i am really stuck!
Any help on this matter would be gratefully accepted.

There certainly used to be a US version of Destinator so I would imagine that US maps are available.

If no retailers are advertising them why not email destinator and ask them? They may sell direct.

D3 is quite old now - I would have thought that an upgrade to D6 is valuable anyway but it is possible that US maps only exist for D3 (I believe the company has changed hands at least once and there may not be a US company any more).

The current version is Destinator 6 for PDAs.

You don't really want to buy it on Ebay do you? It will almost certainly not be genuine and Destinator PN is not the latest version!

Thanks for the response, but i have tried contacting destinator, all they do is send me a link to a German site that is selling D6, now i feel D6 is unnecessary as there must be some D3 US maps out there. Also their website is all in German. The PN version i found is from a shop in Canada, so i guessed that would be legitimate, it is unused and indeed brand new. There seems to be lots of talk on this forum about the Acer n35 not being quite powerfull enough to drive D6 so that is another consideration. Thanks again

There used to be North America maps for D3 and PN. Currently you can buy maps for D6. (which will run under PN but not with D3)

In the US/Canada there were D3 and PN Software and maps North America Versions. Currently you can get D6-NA for 125USD.

This version uses the new high compression maps which will not work with D3, PN and the European D6-Version. But the D6-NA-Software will run all previous worldwide D6-PN-D3-maps.
You can get this version as upgrade for 90USD. You would have to try, if your European-D3-Version qualifies.

One more thing:
The n35 is powerful enough to run D6.
Just make these tweaks and D6 will run without any major problem:
