Thanks for replying.

What is "poi" ?

Also, I would not buy from curry's again they're customer services are shocking Laughing Out Loud! I was in they're new store and they said it was 10% off tomtom's.

I will take a look at the sponsors on the right for that tomtom one v2 and let you all know how i get on. CanI post where i buy from? I dont want to break any rules on my thirs post!!!

POi = Place Of interest.
A place of interest(POi), is a list of Latitude/longtitude co-ordinance that you download onto a sat nav, and it is then displayed on your sat nav. You mav want,all the McDonalds, all the petrol stations, or the speed camera database from this site. Sugest, when you have bought a sat nav, you have a read of the speed camera help guides on the left, it may talk about the speed camera database(POi), but the principle is the same for any POi.

OK, I reckon the Mio C710.

You should pay around £250.

So far I have looked at the ads on the right GlobalSat, HandNav, Totalpda, Handtec etc etc.

Still looking about, the only reason i said tomtom is because thats the only satnav i know of Laughing Out Loud!

I suppose it's down to personal opinion, I for one have been using TomTom since version 2. I have had trials with others, such as Mapopolis, Destinator, Route 66, but in my opinion none match TT for ease of use, functionality, interface etc.

There are niggles, but overall I would recommend it.

I dissagree, Over all they offer a good alternative to TomTom's but for usability and functionality I would say TomTom's are better. TomTom aren't the market leaders for nothing.
