Thinking of getting one of these. Has anyone any comments or info that would sway me one way or the other?

Just looking for a reliable GPS with the extras that the PDA gives.

Thanks.

Happy with mine. I tried TT5 on a mates MIO but got on better with the SmartST software. Just wish it had 7 digit postcode.

You will need to get some screen covers and Styli. I pushed the Stylus fully into the socket, but wore the top away with my thumbnail trying to get it out. The power connector is abysmal. Screen covers were £4 for 6. Styli were £4 for 3 and 12v power lead was £5. I've also bought another cradle so I don't have to keep swapping from van to car. All bits were bought on eBay.

The main reason I went for the 570 was that Memory Map showed it on their adverts. As we do a lot of walking (Snowdonia next week) I wanted OS mapping. Having looked around for cheaper software than MM, I found GPSMap-OS freeware, Matt rewrote the software to run on the 570, so I'm now loading walks for next week on 1:25000 OS maps!!

I've also loaded a card up with MP3 files and taken a lead from the headphone output into a PA system for Airheads displays.

I'll put some films on card for the kids next week.

Very happy with mine.
