Here in England I have TT maps of GB. Which in correct English will be England , Wales and Scotland.
To include Northern Ireland they should be called UK, but I think NI is on am I correct?
Now the question what about southern Ireland if we visit there from England?
Is there a compelte British Isles, (England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and southern Ireland).

Correct NI is part of the UK Maps (known as GB)

No. Southern Ireland has not been covered by TeleAtlas. (known as a pain)

Thanks for comfirmation of NI being on, daft Ireland not on, they must think the northeners or tourists do not go south.

Do you think Ireland will be on the Western Europe maps, can Ireland only be got off and put in TT Go?

Back to Subject line I wonder what the southern Irish get when they buy in Ireland.

You're right... and I should have mentioned it on previous answer!!
Southern Ireland is on the 700's MoWE, but it's not wholly comprehensive... it seems to have the main roads... and a few secondary ones, but sodds law when I went there the road I wanted was on it!!!

To try to clear up some of the confusion, the mapping of Northern Ireland was pretty bad and the coverage of Eire very bad. The latest v6 maps are apparently quite a lot better in both areas, but still less impressive in the south.

I've just given up waiting for TomTom having used their software on my PDAs since the original Routplanner (remeber that?)

I have just bought the AA Navigator software for about £65. It has the latest Navteq maps of the UK and all of Ireland even down to the tiny single track that my friend lives on in Mayo that only appears on the OSi 1:50000 maps.

It's pretty good for instructions and seems a good straight forward alternative to TomTom if you live or travel in Ireland.

Iv'e still got my permanently docked Go500 in my car for day to day use in GB.

The latest Navteq maps even have the route from Claddaghduff to Omey Island in Connemara, where, at low tide, you can drive across the sand guided by arrow signs on poles.

What's the betting there'll be horror stories in the media of cars being engulfed by the incoming tide because the drivers followed the route on their sat navs?
