TMC Comparison

I am considering several TMC equipped satnavs but I don't seem to be able to get any sensible comparatives other than getting lots of information from the forums about what they can't do rather than what they actually can be proved to do.

I know it's easy to knock something as complex as a TMC equipped TomTom, Navman, Nuvi, Mio or ViaMichelin as each person's requirements and tastes are different but I would have thought that someone (or organisation) would have tried to compare their actual performance when using TMC.

After all, this is easy to test:-
1. Does this satnav get the TMC signal at this point on the map or not?
2. If it does, what is the signal strength?
3. If two or more have the same results then how much extra are you paying for the privilege of TMC and is it worth it?

If I had access to all the TMC equipped systems I'd do it - but I don't so, there's a challenge for someone!
