Howdy all;
I have a tt one, currently running firmware v5.450 and GB map v605.
I intend to purchase a GB 'plus' map (or Western Europe) in the near future to benefit from some European nav assistance.
My question is, is it worth waiting for the next generation of maps, and when are they due.
I have heard (can't remember where, tt website maybe) that the 'new' maps contain the speed limit of every road, with your current speed turning red when you are over the limit.
Will this be available to current tt one owners (presumably with another firmware update) or is this a feature reserved solely for the new 510/710/910.
Any idea if I will benefit from discounts as my tt one (and therefore its map) is only a couple of months old.
I wouldn't get GB plus. You will be better off taking the overseas country where you will be driving most, say France, and getting France Plus. You will not need the European maps when in GB, and you will get detailed maps of one other area when you are not in GB. If your memory card is big enough for both maps, then swapping them takes about four seconds. If not, swapping memory cards takes about ten. Either way, you can do this whilst waiting to drive off the train/ferry, waiting for the hire car to be delivered etc.
